We recently wrapped up yet another successful summer camp. Cheers!
Some other camp directors are also drawing summer camp life to a close after a full month of activity.
Sooo – what now?
For some directors, specifically those who are educators, it’s now time to tune into some personal rejuvenation moments before the new school year commences. For others, it means gearing up for another month of summer camp life.
For some parents, it’s overseas travel or arranging time spent with grandparents. For others, it’s bewilderment as they try to find another great camp for their child to attend.
Placing your child in the right camp can be tricky, especially when you have to factor in camp size, cost, location, etc.. For your child, being in the most UNsuitable camp can have the same repercussions as having them do absolutely nothing day in and day out for the next 28+ days.
So, what should you factor into your decision making for the last days of summer? Is a larger cheaper camp better for your child than a smaller yet possibly more costly camp? What about their social development? Who exactly will be overseeing my child? Should I focus on traditional tutoring given it’s so close to the beginning of a new school year? Or, should I just let them get lost in their imagination while lounging about?
